And it's not particularly close.
In every statistic out there: QBR, Completion %, TD/Int ratio, Yds/Att, Adjusted yds/Att, Passer Rating on deep balls, Passer Rating from a clean pocket, Passer Rating when pressured, and on and on, Fromm is head and shoulders better. There is no debate. The numbers just do not lie. But stats don't tell the whole story. As good as Fromm's stats are, he is even better regarding his command of the game. Things like checking out of a bad play into a good one - and not just checking from a pass to a run or vice-versa, but checking from a bad run to a good run, or a bad pass to a good pass. Murray rarely ever did that. Eason never once did. And running through his progressions. And dropping the fade into the bucket. And putting the ball where the other guy can't get it. And on and on and on.

Don't get me wrong, I love Murray. He'd was a DGD. I'll buy the man a beverage any time. He busted his tail for the red and black, and I'll always respect and admire him for that. But Fromm is special. And I for one am not going to wait until he's gone before I realize and appreciate what a generational talent he is. When you compare their film, there's just no comparison, and it's almost laughable to suggest otherwise.
